Assistant Project Manager

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful execution of construction and infrastructure projects in the Fort Worth area.
This is a great opportunity for someone with project coordination or project management experience who is looking to continue developing their career in project leadership. The APM will work closely with Project Managers, field operations, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Support projects from pre-construction through completion
- Assist with project scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking
- Track project budgets versus actual costs and assist with forecasting
- Prepare and maintain project reports and weekly updates
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders
- Support procurement activities and material/resource coordination
- Assist with contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Help identify project risks, cost concerns, and potential schedule impacts
- Maintain accurate project documentation and financial records
- Ensure field teams have the information and resources needed to execute projects effectively
- Support Project Managers with overall project planning and execution
- Assist with emergency restoration efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in project coordination, project management, construction, engineering, or a related project-based environment
- Understanding of project schedules, budgets, costs, and financial tracking
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar project management software is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
