Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic General Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional service and quality food in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience in quick service or fast food restaurant operations. The General Manager drives sales growth, maximizes profitability, and oversees all daily operations for Kore Cafe and its mobile food truck unit. This leader directly manages the Cafe Supervisor and Food Truck Supervisor, ensuring high standards of hospitality, culinary excellence, and operational efficiency. The role holds full Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability, leads menu innovation, and builds a high-performing team through strategic hiring, development, and performance management.Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial Performance & Sales Growth
- P&L Accountability: Manage the total cafe and food truck budget to maximize profitability.
- Sales Driving: Implementation of local marketing and community partnerships to increase foot traffic.
- Cost Control: Optimize food, beverage, and labor costs without compromising quality standards.
- Revenue Audits: Review weekly financial reports to identify waste and capture growth opportunities.
Leadership & People Management
- Supervisor Oversight: Direct, coach, and evaluate the Cafe Supervisor and Food Truck Supervisor.
- Staffing Decisions: Execute all hiring, onboarding, performance management, and termination processes.
- Schedule Management: Design master schedules that balance labor budgets with peak operational demands.
- Culture Building: Foster a diverse, inclusive, and highly motivated team environment.
Culinary Innovation & Operations
- Menu Development: Design innovative beverage and food menus aligning with the brand identity.
- Recipe Standardization: Document precise recipe builds, costing sheets, and allergen guides.
- POS Management: Utilize Toast POS to analyze sales trends, manage inventory, and update menus.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict health, safety, and sanitation standards across all units. [1, 2, 3]
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of General Manager experience in high-volume cafes or restaurants.
- Multi-Unit Oversight: Proven success managing brick-and-mortar operations alongside food trucks or catering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Toast POS systems for daily operations and reporting.
- Financial Literacy: Advanced capability in reading P&L statements and managing labor percentages.
- Certifications: Valid ServSafe Manager certification required.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed.
