Survey Technician/Assistant Project Manager
Briel & Associates Land Surveyors, Inc. is a dynamic, technically focused small firm located on the central east coast of Florida. Over the past 45 years we have provided our clients with expertise and innovative solutions to their surveying needs. Our primary areas of concentration are commercial engineering and construction.
We are seeking a motivated, experienced and dependable Survey Office and Geomatics Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office role (not remote). We're looking for self-motivated professionals who are ready to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:
- Assist a professional surveyor in managing a variety of different survey projects.
- Calculations for construction layout.
- Processing incoming field data.
- Preparing Boundary, Topographic, Construction & As-built survey drawings.
- Prepare legal descriptions, exhibits and plats.
- Project research and preparing field work.
- Field work may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of survey field and/or office experience and general AEC plan reading skills.
- Ability to use survey instruments including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers and field controllers.
- General understanding of the construction industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference given to S.I.T. certification.
- Batchelor or associate degree in Geomatics/Land Surveying or related discipline.
- Familiarity with Leica Captivate and Infinity software.
