The Role:
As our Part-Time Bev. Cart / HH Attendant, you'll be one of the faces of Deerwood's golfing experience, delivering attentive food and beverage service while creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our members and their guests. You'll play an important role in providing exceptional hospitality, anticipating members' needs, and helping ensure every visit is enjoyable. This position is ideal for someone who is personable, professional, and thrives in an upscale, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome members and guests warmly, taking drink and food orders accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service area.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash/charge transactions efficiently.
- Anticipate member needs and provide attentive, personalized service.
- Adhere to all local, state, and club alcohol service and safety policies.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of serving experience (country club, resort, or upscale restaurant experience is a major plus).
- Skills: Efficient multitasking abilities.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and possesses a polished, professional demeanor.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time daytime and nighttime shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed by the club's event calendar.
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years old to serve alcohol.

Duties
- Provide attentive, professional food and beverage service to members and guests, ensuring an exceptional golfing experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver meals promptly while maintaining high service standards.
- Engage with members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner to build lasting relationships and enhance their overall experience.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, to enter orders accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and side work throughout each shift.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with bartenders, kitchen staff, and fellow servers to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Assist with the setup, service, and breakdown of banquets, club events, and private functions as needed.
- Anticipate members' needs by refilling beverages, clearing tables, and providing attentive service throughout their visit.
- Promote daily specials, featured menu items, and beverage offerings to enhance the dining experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Complete opening and closing side work, including stocking service stations and preparing dining areas for service.
Requirements
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant, country club, fine dining, banquet, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and build rapport with members and guests.
- Basic math skills for processing payments, handling cash, and accurately presenting guest checks.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist coworkers to provide seamless service.
- Ability to remain professional, courteous, and composed during busy service periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or items weighing up to 25 pounds.
