JOB TITLE: Quality Inspector
DIVISION: Quality Assurance Team
LOCATION: Poseyville, Indiana
REPORTS TO: Cole Eckert, Director of Production Support
What You Will Do:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing final inspections on completed fabricated products to ensure they meet Nix Industrial quality standards before shipment. This role helps confirm that products are clean, properly finished, correctly packaged, accurately documented, and ready to ship.
How You Will Do It:
▪ Perform routine and final quality inspections and document results
▪ Inspect completed fabricated products for coatings, finish, aesthetics, and workmanship
▪ Verify packaging, labels, documentation, and shipping readiness
▪ Identify and document quality issues, including reasons and corrective actions
▪ Review recurring quality concerns and support corrective actions
▪ Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts
▪ Collaborate with Production, Preproduction, Shipping, and Quality team members
▪ Assist the SQP Manager with ISO-related needs, including calibration tracking and PM logs
▪ Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality documentation
The Position Requires:
▪ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
▪ Ability to inspect overall product appearance, workmanship, coatings, and finish
▪ Ability to document inspection results and communicate quality concerns clearly
▪ Ability to work closely with Production, Preproduction, Shipping, and Quality teams
▪ Commitment to ensuring only conforming products are shipped
