We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Day Care Director to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards and safety protocols
- Support staff in implementing age-appropriate educational programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Help oversee classroom management, behavior guidance, and caregiving routines to promote positive social interactions
- Collaborate with staff to monitor child development progress and communicate effectively with parents about their child's growth and needs
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, including first aid procedures and emergency protocols
- Participate in staff training sessions focused on early childhood education, special education strategies, and working with children with disabilities
- Aid in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
- Experience with classroom management, behavior management techniques, and caregiving routines
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to support toddlers’ care routines including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities
- Familiarity with daycare licensing requirements and safety regulations
