Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Manage accounting activities for a portfolio of properties, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and month end close processes.
Prepare and review expense allocations, tenant billings, and reconciliations to ensure accurate cost recovery and reporting.
Maintain accruals, prepaid expense schedules, and related accounting records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Research and resolve billing discrepancies while partnering with property management, leasing, and finance teams.
Prepare financial analyses, reporting packages, and supporting schedules while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within commercial real estate or property accounting environments.
Strong understanding of property accounting, tenant billing, accrual accounting, and financial reporting processes.
Previous experience with property management or real estate accounting software platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports.
Knowledge of lease agreements and the financial impact of lease terms on billing and property operations.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to stakeholders.
Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
