A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Charge Nurse (RN) to join its brand-new Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). This leadership opportunity offers the chance to be part of an opening team while providing exceptional critical care and supporting nursing excellence in a collaborative environment.
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill Neuro ICU patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Assess, monitor, and respond to sudden or subtle changes in patient conditions
Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and support efficient unit operations
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the healthcare team
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care
Coordinate discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care through appropriate referrals and documentation
Serve as a professional role model and clinical resource for nursing staff
Support staff development, education, and onboarding initiatives
Promote evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives
Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous learning and development
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, or an approved RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification required within seven months of hire or promotion
Current nationally recognized RN specialty certification applicable to practice area (such as CCRN, CDN, or CNN)
Minimum of two years of ICU RN experience in an acute care setting required
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
