Position: Director, Landscape Architecture Studio
Location: Indianapolis, IN
As the leader of our award-winning Landscape Architecture Studio, you will have the unique
opportunity to take this strategically-important practice group to the next level. Meanwhile, you
will also have the opportunity to continue to grow your leadership skills and put your personal and
professional touch on something really exciting.
We believe that design matters. This helps our clients build with confidence knowing their new
space will function as well as it looks. Our full-service approach to projects includes land surveying,
site civil engineering, sustainable design, landscape architecture, and construction administration.
Our Studio brings exciting community projects to life. Projects including: parks, open spaces,
mixed-use urban development, streetscapes, educational campuses, municipal centers, corporate
campuses, residential communities and commercial development properties. Your responsibilities
will be to contribute to and enhance the Studio culture, increase the exposure of and interest in
our Studio across Indiana; start and grow potential client relationships; meet and exceed annual
revenue and profit goals; interview, hire, and develop new staff members; ensure overall client
satisfaction and account growth; lead three tenured Project Managers and support staff;
collaborate with internal departments to effectively cross-sell services; source external project
partners as needed; lead proposal and bid opportunities; and achieve making our Studio the
preferred choice of clients and candidates.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
- 10+ years of professional experience including design and project management in Indiana
- Licensure (Indiana required, other states are optional)
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- Proven success in identifying, nurturing, and securing new clients
- Proven success in leading staff toward common goals
