Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the first moment.
- Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and wine pairings to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system.
- Serve food and drinks with finesse, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness while adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Provide attentive guest service by checking on diners regularly, addressing special requests, and resolving any concerns promptly to exceed expectations.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems.
- Assist with side duties such as bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations in a fine dining environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a server within a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills.
- Familiarity with Positouch POS system will help.
- Strong knowledge of food and alcohol/wine.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Background in hospitality or food service industries that emphasizes customer satisfaction and sales techniques like upselling.
