Local manufacturer of truck bodies is seeking a Welder/Metal Fabricator to become an integral part of our team. We are seeking an energetic, professional, and motivated individual to hire for a full time position.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:-
Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.

Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.

Welds metal components together with brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products. (primarily mild steel fabrication, MIG welding)

Sets up and operates grinders, shears, brake presses, drill presses, and welders to make precision parts.

Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.

Follow blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and drawings to meet fabrication specifications.

Verifies conformance to specifications, including calculating material measurements.

Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.

Assemble components with fasteners and tools.

Ability to operate forklift, shop hoist, and practices safe material handle moving techniques.

Ability to operate all truck equipment and drive units around the yard and to/from the shop.

Install and repair various equipment and components.
-
Observes operation of machinery and equipment to verify repair.
Job requirements:

Be able to work under limited supervision.

Attention to detail.

Must have own basic tools to perform job duties.

Must be able to pass back ground check and drug screen.

Must possess good agility, proper lifting skills, & ability to handle physical workload.
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.

Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
-
Familiarity with hand tolls, shop tolls/equipment, and procedures.

Familiarity with engineering prints and schematics.
Start Date: Position to be filled immediately.
Shift: 5-day work week (M-F), day shift only (8:00am-4:30pm)
