Meadowbrook Rehabilitation is looking for a dependable, hardworking maintenance technician to join our team! This is a full-time position offering a competitive benefits package.
The maintenance technician is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning facility. The ideal candidate will have advanced painting skills and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Work closely with and follow the direction of the maintenance director/supervisor.
Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs throughout the facility.
Properly care for and maintain tools and equipment.
Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers.
Replace HVAC filters and assist with lifting, carrying, and stocking supplies.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
Strong organizational skills.
Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks, including lifting and climbing.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and the public.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
