Duties
Key Responsibilities and Clinical Duties
- Patient Intake: Welcome patients, measure vital signs, record height/weight, and conduct body composition analysis.
- Treatment Preparation: Set up procedure rooms for cosmetic injectables, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
- Provider Assistance: Assist medical providers during aesthetic procedures, minor surgeries, and clinical examinations.
- Clinical Interventions: Perform blood draws (phlebotomy), administer prescribed intramuscular injections, and collect laboratory specimens.
- Patient Education: Review pre- and post-care instructions for cosmetic procedures and explain weight loss program guidelines.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) regarding patient histories, treatments, and weight progress.
- Inventory Control: Track, order, and restock medical supplies, cosmetic products, and weight loss supplements.
- Patient Coordination: Schedule appointments, conduct follow-up calls, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
- First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor suitable for a boutique clinic
- Previous clinic or medical office experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right applicant
- Proficiency in blood draws (phlebotomy)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and a desire to further this knowledge
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence in a healthcare environment
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office equipment operation
