JOB TITLE: Admissions & Operations Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Admissions Support
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is seeking an Admissions & Operations Coordinator to join our Admissions team and help guide prospective students through the admissions process. ICE is one of America’s leading centers for culinary education and the largest culinary school in New York City and Los Angeles. We are passionate about helping students of all ages and backgrounds pursue their culinary career dreams. We’re looking for an Admissions & Operations Coordinator who is passionate about the world of food and is excited to contribute to our growing organization.
Success in this role requires a genuine desire to assist others in a team-oriented environment. The Admissions & Operations Coordinator will join a team that annually serves 1000’s of prospective students who are looking to pursue their dreams of a culinary education by attending ICE.
The Admissions & Operations Coordinator is a key member of our Admissions team and reports directly to our Associate Director of Admissions Support. We support and reward creativity, performance, professional development and team involvement. We also have fun, and eat well, in the process!
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support admissions representatives and work with applicants to acquire and validate enrollment documents.

Respond to questions from applicants by phone and email.

Process applications and enrollments; manage daily activities within admissions support.

Serve as the school’s forward facing customer service representative

Support Recreational department operations, including staff scheduling, class check-in, guest service, classroom readiness and administrative support as needed.

Serve as a regular weekend campus point person for operations, including monitoring campus activity, recreational classes, and overall student/guest experience.

Provide timely updates to the Campus Director regarding the state of the campus on weekends, including whether classes are running as scheduled, any emergencies, operational issues, staffing concerns, or other items requiring leadership awareness.

Communicate and escalate campus concerns appropriately, including facilities, student, guest, instructor, or class-related issues.

Other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree or equivalent, related work experience preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Flexible schedule - able to work until 7PM when required including evening and regular weekend availability. This department requires Saturday and Sunday coverage as part of its operating schedule.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal; strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail.

Critical thinker and problem solver.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working under deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Detail oriented, outgoing, able to multi-task, work hard and possess a drive to succeed.

PAY: $20.00-$22.00 Per Hour
The position is full-time and requires flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts, including Saturday and Sunday coverage, according to the department schedule, which is set in advance.
