Position Summary
The Communications Coordinator supports the implementation of communication initiatives that help advance KRPA’s programs and member engagement efforts. This part-time role focuses on executing communication plans, coordinating recognition programs, and assisting with operational follow-through across various organizational initiatives.
This position reports to the Engagement & Strategic Growth Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Implementation
- Build and schedule email communications
- Assist with social media scheduling and content posting
- Update website content and event information
- Format graphics and materials using established templates
- Assist with maintaining communication schedules and campaign timelines (including photo contest)
Website Communications & User Experience
· Draft, edit, and publish website announcements, news updates, and public-facing content to ensure timely and consistent communication.
· Maintain website design consistency, layout, and overall user experience.
· Develop and update written content to ensure clarity, engagement, and alignment with organizational branding and voice.
· Collaborate on campaigns, news posts, and promotional content that support organizational goals.
Awards & Recognition Program Support
· Develop and produce video content to support organizational communications and engagement efforts
· Coordinate and manage the awards program, including planning, promotion, and execution
· Develop and write scripts for awards presentations and related communications
Publication & Content Support
- Manage the full production process for the KRPA magazine, including content compilation, layout organization and final publication deadlines
- Track advertising submissions and publication deadlines
- Format content and coordinate materials
Resource & Toolkit Development
- Format and publish toolkits, guides, and resources developed by staff
- Upload materials to the website and organize resource libraries
- Assist with promoting new resources and initiatives
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field
- Strong organizational and detail management skills
- Experience with communication tools such as email platforms, social media, video creation and website content management
- Basic graphic design experience using platforms such as Canva
- Proficiency in AI platforms for communication and/or production
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong written communication and editing skills
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
