Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and meal preparation to promote independence and self-care.
- Support clients to engage in community activities, including outings to parks, stores, or recreational centers, encouraging socialization and community integration.
- Collect and document data on client progress, behavior patterns, and skill development to inform care plans and track outcomes.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in home or community care settings supporting individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community outings are required.
- Experience working with children or adults requiring caregiving or social work support is beneficial.
- Capable of collecting accurate data and maintaining detailed records of client progress.
