Travel RN - Emergency Dept

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

Active GA or Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
Skills required in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressor administration
Central line care/management experience preferred
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
Manage cardiac monitoring and respond to emergent dysrhythmias
Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols while performing triage duties
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to submission
Holiday coverage required based on assignment period, up to two major holidays observed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
