We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to support a small, trauma‑informed mental health practice with accurate, timely billing operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a flexible, part‑time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit electronic claims through our billing platform with accuracy and consistency
- Process electronic explanations of benefits (EOBs) and update client accounts accordingly
- Reconcile accounts to ensure payments, adjustments, and balances are correct
- Follow up on outstanding or denied claims, including resubmissions and payer communication
- Maintain organized documentation and communicate any billing issues that require provider attention
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical billing, preferably in mental or behavioral health
- Familiarity with electronic claim submission and EOB processing
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
- Reliable communication and ability to manage tasks independently
- Experience with payer portals and claim follow‑up workflows is a plus
Schedule & Work Style
This is a remote, part‑time role with flexible hours. Work can be completed on your own schedule as long as claims and follow‑ups are handled promptly.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
