Review production schedules to determine the number of billets required, parts per billet, and necessary temperatures for solid and hollow extrusions.
Ensure proper billet temperature settings and direct the press crew to align efforts on every order run.
Continuously inspect material for non-conformance issues such as die lines, tears, broken holes, and scratches.
Address employee inquiries regarding policy and provide thorough training for new team members.
Recommend improvements to the Production Supervisor related to policy, process, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Actively engage in continuous process improvement initiatives and participate in company tours for customers as requested.
Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred.
Previous press operating experience preferred. Normally acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
Must be able to read and use measuring equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and digital gage tables.
Must have experience reading blueprints and parts drawings.
Familiarity with ISO certification and processes preferred.
