The Tool Crib Engineer is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and standardization of facilities and providing technical support to production lines. This role ensures compliance with ESD requirements, effective inventory control of tools and equipment, and timely availability of resources to support uninterrupted operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Tool Crib & Inventory Management
- Manage and control inventory of tools, fixtures, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure proper identification, traceability, and availability of assets.
- Maintain accurate records in asset and inventory systems (AEMS or equivalent).
Facilities & Production Support
- Coordinate construction, maintenance, and standardization of facilities, workstations, carts, tables, and support equipment.
- Provide technical support to production lines to ensure operational readiness.
ESD & Compliance
- Implement, verify, and maintain ESD controls across facilities, equipment, and workstations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and compliance with applicable standards.
Vendor & Procurement Coordination
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers for procurement, repair, calibration, and improvement of tools and equipment.
- Track purchase orders, requisitions, and deliveries to ensure compliance with timelines and specifications.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and records related to Tool Crib operations.
- Promote continuous improvement and implement 5S methodologies to ensure organization, safety, and efficiency.
Education / Experience
- Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred; ideal experience level is 2 years.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with SolidWorks preferred.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- NOM-022-STPS-2008 / ANSI-ESD S20.20 (Basic)
