Rowe’s Print Shop is a family-owned commercial printing company serving businesses throughout Central Pennsylvania for more than 65 years. We are looking for an experienced Lead Graphic Designer who is passionate about design, understands commercial printing, and enjoys working directly with clients from concept through production.
This is not an entry-level or internship position. We are looking for a confident designer who can take ownership of projects, solve problems independently, and help lead our creative department.
What You’ll Do
- Design a wide variety of print and digital marketing materials
- Prepare production-ready artwork for digital and offset printing
- Create brochures, catalogs, booklets, newsletters, business stationery, direct mail, signage, banners, and promotional materials
- Perform photo editing, color correction, and image enhancement
- Typeset publications and multi-page documents
- Prepare variable data projects and mail merge files
- Work directly with customers by phone, email, and in person
- Review artwork for accuracy before production
- Assist with estimating production requirements and scheduling projects
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure files print correctly and on schedule
- Help mentor and support other designers when needed
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Graphic Design or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience in a commercial print environment preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Thorough understanding of digital and offset printing processes
- Experience preparing files for commercial production
- Strong typography, layout, and color management skills
- Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
