The North Shore Before/After School Program is seeking candidates for Pre-K After School Teacher positions for the Before and After School Programs in the North Shore School District for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year. Candidates should be energetic, creative, passionate, and dedicated to working with young children. Our teachers will need to demonstrate patience, empathy, be caring and compassionate and be flexible when working with our young children.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Directors and colleagues to implement, supervise and lead various enrichment activities, projects and special events.
- Work alongside staff members to develop a monthly calendar focusing on enrichment, indoor and outdoor play, and the arts.
- Supervise and encourage indoor and outdoor play.
- Maintain a 1:45pm - 6:00pm (or when last child is picked up) schedule, Monday-Friday when school is in session.
- Provide a safe and healthy environment for students.
- Maintain all required credentials necessary for the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management as per program needs.
- Hourly pay is based on experience, resume and references. Compensation may be higher than the posted rate for candidates who meet or exceed requirements.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week

Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field (Preferred)
- CDA Credential (Preferred)
