trata is looking for an experienced AM Prep Cook.
The ideal candidate will be efficient, reliable, a team player and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Follow the prep list as directed by the Kitchen Manager
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience as prep cook
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Able to operate cutting tools and kitchen equipment
- Weekend Availability
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Training from a culinary school preferred, but not required
Shifts available daily, 9:00AM-4:00PM
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
