Our client is seeking an Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join their team handling WTC Health Program & 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) matters, managing claims through resolution and representing 9/11 victims in DOJ appeals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage WTC Health Program and VCF claims from intake through award resolution.
Review medical records, assess claim eligibility, and draft/review VCF submissions and legal documents.
Counsel clients throughout the claims process and represent clients in appeals before the U.S. Department of Justice.
Provide legal guidance to Client Advocates, collaborate with internal teams, and represent the firm at networking events.
Maintain accurate case records in Salesforce, stay current on WTCHP/VCF regulations, and support weekend client intake/lead vetting as needed.
Qualifications:
J.D. degree and active New York State Bar admission.
2+ years of practicing attorney experience.
Experience with WTC Health Program (WTCHP) and 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) claims, rules, and procedures.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to review medical records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred; professional, ethical, and solutions-oriented team player.
