Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician (Level I) to support our production operations. These roles are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime and safety.
This position is hands-on and requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a Team.
Maintenance Technician I (Mid-Level)
Experience Requirement
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain and repair: Honeycomb lines and related converting equipment, slitters and laminators and general facility systems
- Replace components such as belts, bearings, chains, sensors and motors
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs
- Support senior technicians on larger repairs and rebuilds
- Perform facility upkeep including basic plumbing, electrical and minor welding
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow all safety procedures
Required Skills
- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abiltiy
- Basic electrical knowledge (motors, wiring, controls)
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance
- Willingness to learn PLC systems and advanced diagnostics
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (heat, noise, dust)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work
- Willingness to work overtime
Preferred (Strongly Encouraged)
- Must supply and use personal hand tools
- Experience in corrugated, packaging or converting industries
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick)
- Experience with steam systems and boilers
- Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
