Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated landscape Crew Leader at Frost Landscaping to oversee and guide our outdoor landscaping teams in delivering exceptional grounds maintenance and landscape services. In this role, you will lead crew members through various landscape projects, ensuring quality work, safety compliance, and efficient operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including lawn care, planting, pruning, and hardscape installation.
- Lead crews in executing construction projects with precision and efficiency.
- Manage irrigation systems installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal landscape health.
- Identify plants accurately and advise on horticultural best practices for sustainable growth.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation tools.
- Oversee crew management tasks such as training new team members and maintaining a positive team environment.
- Ensure all outdoor work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Operate company vehicles for transportation to job sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform quality control checks on completed projects to meet client expectations and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
Skills
- Extensive experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and hardscape installation.
- Proven supervising experience with team management skills that motivate and develop crew members.
- Strong knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, and grounds maintenance techniques.
- Skilled in irrigation management including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of irrigation systems.
- Construction experience related to outdoor projects such as paving, fencing or other hardscape features.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently; grounds equipment operation is essential.
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating resilience in various weather conditions.
- Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to coordinate team efforts effectively.
- Knowledge of <PERSON> standards or similar safety protocols applicable to outdoor construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles responsibly.
