What you’ll bring:
- Active Social Worker license in Rhode Island
- Previous experience as a School Social Worker with elementary-age children preferred
- Skilled in service documentation, especially for Medicaid reimbursement
- Familiarity with school-based mental health, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning initiatives
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Willingness to undergo federal and state background checks, including fingerprinting (National BCI)
- Comfortable with Zoom panel interviews
- Motivated, flexible, and eager to connect with students and staff
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver counseling, support, and intervention services to elementary students
- Maintain accurate and compliant student service logs for Medicaid
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to develop strategies for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and support the implementation of individualized plans
- Provide crisis response as needed and promote a positive school climate
- Engage professionally in a team-oriented setting, drawing from the experience of supportive colleagues
