Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Designer to join our innovative engineering team. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed fire alarm system designs using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Create and review schematics, layout diagrams, and wiring diagrams for fire alarm systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and construction teams to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly into overall building electrical systems.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans for installation teams.
- Ensure designs meet all safety regulations, industry standards, and client requirements related to fire alarm system design and construction.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, control panels, and wiring infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical engineering or fire alarm system design with proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, layout design, and construction practices related to fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and standards governing fire alarm system installation and safety compliance.
- Familiarity with system design principles for electrical wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), PCB layout, and electrical schematics.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and construction documents accurately.
- Experience working on projects involving electrical wiring layouts, system integration, or PCB design is a plus.
