Secrets Cocktail Garden is seeking a motivated and energetic Bar Back to join our team. This position is designed for individuals who are interested in becoming bartenders in the future and want to gain hands-on experience in a high-volume restaurant and lounge environment.
As a Bar Back, you will work directly alongside our bartending team, learning the fundamentals of bar operations, guest service, cocktail preparation, inventory management, and hospitality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the hospitality industry and grow into a bartender role.
Responsibilities
- Support bartenders during service by stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all bar stations throughout the shift.
- Wash and polish glassware to ensure the bar remains fully stocked and service-ready.
- Refill supplies and assist with inventory management.
- Remove empty bottles, trash, and used bar materials promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Ensure all bar areas meet sanitation and safety standards.
- Support beverage preparation as directed by bartenders and management.
- Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
- Learn cocktail recipes, spirits knowledge, and bar operations as part of bartender development.
Qualifications
- Interest in becoming a bartender and growing within the hospitality industry.
- Previous restaurant, bar, nightclub, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout a shift.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food safety certification is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
