Seasonal Associate Job Description - HoneyBaked Ham
Job Title: Seasonal Associate Reports To: Store Manager/Shift Supervisor Classification: Temporary/Seasonal, Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
- Warmly greet and assist all customers in-store, on the phone, and for catering orders.
- Provide superior product knowledge, effectively articulating features and benefits of all HoneyBaked products (hams, turkeys, side dishes, desserts, etc.).
- Drive sales through suggestive selling and promoting add-on items.
- Accurately process transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
Food Preparation & Handling
- Assist with food preparation tasks, which may include slicing and glazing hams and turkeys, preparing side dishes, and packaging products.
- Ensure all food preparation and handling strictly adheres to company standards and all safety and sanitation procedures (HACCP).
- Maintain the highest quality and freshness of all retail and catered products.
Store Operations & Cleanliness
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization across the retail floor, production area, and back of house.
- Stock and merchandise retail displays, ensuring products are well-presented and organized.
- Take initiative and remain productive throughout the entire shift, including assisting with inventory tasks and general upkeep.
- Consistently follow all company processes and procedures in all areas of operation.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and respectful workplace policies.
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or food preparation experience is preferred (e.g., cashier, sales associate, crew member, cook).
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, polite demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Physical dexterity and mobility to perform demands of the job, including standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Ability to lift products and supplies, potentially up to 50–65 pounds, especially for roles involving ham production.
- Must be reliable and able to commit to a full seasonal schedule, including working peak days around the holiday (Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas).
