Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Prepare food items efficiently, including scooping ice cream, adding toppings, and serving in a timely manner.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change while maintaining cash handling accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning work stations, utensils, and customer areas regularly.
- Upsell additional products like specialty sundaes or beverages to enhance sales opportunities.
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the café or retail space.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic approach to serving guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices.
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced setting.
