The Mental Health Clinician provides individual and/or group counseling services to students. Provides consultation to staff and families regarding student issues. May provide counseling or consultation to families of students.Provides evaluations of students referred for counseling or thought to be in need of counselingAssists in developing behavior plans for students in treatmentProvides consultation to staff pertinent to client caseload Participates in group consultation process with instructional and residential staffAttends appropriate IEPs, Progress Review, Case Consultation, and bi-weekly Clinical MeetingProvides semi-annual written summaries for client caseload according to protocolMaintain some scheduling flexibility to include variable evening/weekend hoursIntervenes physically in behaviorally aggressive situations using CPI techniquesUpholds the mission and corporate values of St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing Schools of MassachusettsRegular attendance and promptly reporting to work at the beginning of the scheduled shift are essential functions of this position Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned
