We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This position requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with a focus on high standards of hygiene and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and stripping as necessary to ensure a polished appearance.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks and report any significant repairs needed to the facilities management team.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly for efficient operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning equipment and chemicals to prevent accidents or injuries.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning methods is advantageous.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus.
