Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product demos when needed
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with upselling products and promoting store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity while balancing registers at shift end
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in stock counts
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Proven ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory tasks
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
- Previous grocery store experience or familiarity with retail environments will help you excel in this role
