Schedule: Primarily weekdays with evenings and weekends as required for resident programs and events

This is a hands-on role that combines event planning, recreation, wellness and resident engagement. You'll develop programs, coordinate special events and outings, work with community partners and help welcome new residents into campus life. plan, schedule and lead recreational, educational, social, wellness and lifestyle programs for Independent Living residents

create opportunities that support residents' physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual well-being

coordinate resident events from start to finish including planning, setup, execution and breakdown

develop monthly activity calendars and keep residents informed about upcoming programs and events
-
plan holiday celebrations, special events, entertainment and other engaging experiences throughout the year

coordinate musicians, speakers and other vendors to support successful resident programs

organize off-campus outings including transportation and staff support and drive company-provided vehicles when needed
-
welcome new residents to campus, introduce them to available programs and help connect them with residents who share similar interests

collaborate with dining, marketing, transportation and other departments to coordinate programs and events
-
track resident participation, preferences and program feedback to help continually improve lifestyle offerings
-
maintain activity information in the community app and use tools including Microsoft Office and Canva to create calendars, signs and program communications

support resident use of fitness equipment and community spaces
-
purchase and maintain program supplies while working within established budget guidelines
-
assist with vendor communication, payments and preliminary lifestyle budget planning
-
build positive relationships with residents, guests, vendors and team members while creating an atmosphere of hospitality
-
associate's degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school
-
2+ years of experience in senior living, hospitality programming, recreation programming or a related field, preferably working with older adults

strong event planning, organization and time management skills

excellent communication and relationship-building skills

creativity and enthusiasm for developing programs that appeal to a variety of interests

ability to confidently engage residents individually and speak in front of groups
-
proficiency with Microsoft Office and Canva and the ability to learn new technology quickly

ability to manage multiple programs, events and priorities simultaneously
-
valid driver's license and willingness to drive company-provided vehicles for resident outings when needed
-
warm, hospitality-focused approach and genuine interest in creating an exceptional resident experience
