Job Summary
Super 8 by Wyndham Arlington Near AT&T Stadium is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain our 50-room limited-service hotel.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hotel facilities while taking pride in providing a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our guests. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while responding quickly to maintenance needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Maintenance
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance in guest rooms.
- Repair plumbing fixtures, toilets, sinks, faucets, and drains.
- Replace light bulbs, electrical outlets, switches, and fixtures as needed.
- Repair doors, locks, windows, furniture, cabinetry, and other room fixtures.
- Perform drywall repairs, touch-up painting, and minor carpentry work.
- Ensure guestrooms are clean, functional, and meet Wyndham brand standards.
Property Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Maintain HVAC systems and replace filters as needed.
- Inspect and maintain parking areas, sidewalks, exterior lighting, signage, and landscaping.
- Maintain laundry equipment and common areas.
- Keep the property clean, safe, and operating efficiently.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
- Correct safety hazards in a timely manner.
- Assist with Wyndham QA inspections and corrective action items.
- Maintain maintenance logs and follow hotel safety procedures.
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.
- Monitor vendor work to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Assist with renovation projects and property improvements as assigned.
Team Support
- Work closely with hotel management, housekeeping, and front desk staff to ensure guestrooms are guest-ready.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and assist during weather events or utility outages.
- Support other departments when needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a hotel, apartment, commercial building, or similar facility.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with occasional on-call availability for emergencies.
Preferred
- Previous hotel or motel maintenance experience.
- Experience with Wyndham, Choice, Hilton, Marriott, IHG, or other branded hotels.
- HVAC certification or related trade experience.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $15.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
