About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual (Spanish/English) Quality Control (QC) Technician to support day-to-day quality and GMP activities on the production floor. This position works closely with the SQF Practitioner and helps ensure job compliance, accurate documentation, and consistent quality throughout production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily GMP and facility checks on the production floor (hygiene, housekeeping, material handling, and GMP compliance).
- Conduct in-process QC checks on active jobs (verifying workmanship, job requirements, and compliance to specifications).
- Verify raw material use and traceability, including confirming correct materials are staged/used and checking lot numbers against job documentation.
- Support document accuracy and control, including reviewing QC/GMP records, job paperwork, and ensuring forms are completed correctly and legibly.
- Identify issues, escalate concerns, and assist with containment actions (e.g., segregation/hold of questionable material) as directed by the SQF Practitioner.
- Assist with internal and external audits (SQF and customer/third-party audits), including floor readiness checks, record gathering, and audit support activities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with production employees in both English and Spanish to reinforce expectations and ensure understanding.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to strengthen GMP and QC compliance.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) – able to communicate effectively with production employees on the floor.
- Strong attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
- Ability to work independently, remain organized, and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Comfortable using basic computer tools and forms (Excel/Google Sheets a plus).
Preferred
- Experience in packaging, printing, converting, or paperboard manufacturing.
- Familiarity with GMPs, audit expectations, and documentation requirements.
- SQF experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
