Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continual basis. It does not exclude other duties that may be assigned.)
•Oversee receiving and other warehouse processes and personnel to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
- Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload steel trucks as necessary.
- Assist with the development, revision and enforcement of inventory management and procedures including record keeping, work instructions, and other standard operational and work practices as necessary.
- Provide daily work assignments to staff and work with managers and other supervisors to coordinate personnel and resources as necessary to complete all work scheduled for department.
- Provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Leads by example with the Company’s Code of Ethics. This includes following company policies, standards, and specifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises up to 5 non-supervisory employees in the warehouse department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Lead and delegate job assignments each day. Track team members time and breaks.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Experience:

Education/Experience:
- Formal education not required.
- Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience in a warehouse setting preferred, but not required for consideration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Employee must successfully complete the forklift certification program to be eligible to operate the forklift. This consists of a driving evaluation, as well as a written test. This training will be offered on the job.
- Knowledge of all jobs within the warehouse department and their requirements. This knowledge can be gained through training.
- Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment within the assigned departments. This may require the help of maintenance.
- Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to the maintenance personnel. • Ability to effectively communicate the quality issues to all personnel within warehouse facility.
- Basic reading and writing skills are necessary.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- This position requires the ability to compile information, analyze information, decision making, problem solving, planning and short-term memory and long-term memory.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to work overtime. Overtime is required when necessary. Overtime is dependent upon production demands. The starting time or ending time of the shift as well as days of the week working may vary depending upon overtime requirements.
- Must be able to work in a range of temperatures from -10 to 90+, as well as dust and/or dirt and inclement weather. • Understand all paperwork related to receiving including how to read and use Purchase Order (PO) receivers, Bills of lading, and Packing lists
