About the Role
MBS seeks an experienced Director of Operations & Growth to oversee and strengthen the operational, financial, sales, marketing, compliance, and service delivery functions of the organization. This senior leadership role is responsible for helping ensure MBS delivers accurate, compliant, timely billing services; high-quality consulting; and effective provider training.
The Director of Operations & Growth will report directly to the Owner/CEO and serve as a key member of the leadership team. This person will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and performance management while leading two directors and supporting continued growth, efficiency, and excellence across the agency.

What You’ll Do
· Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with MBS’s mission, growth goals, and compliance obligations.
· Oversee daily operations across billing, consulting, and training service lines.
· Implement systems, processes, and workflows that improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and accountability.
· Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and Medicaid policy updates.
· Lead sales performance through clear processes, disciplined follow-up, and strong customer relationships.
· Guide integrated marketing efforts across digital, content, services marketing, and communications.
· Ensure brand consistency across customer-facing materials, messaging, and digital presence.
· Translate company goals into operational growth plans, including new service offerings, market expansion, and customer experience improvements.
· Support customer retention through strong communication, reliable processes, and high-quality service delivery.
· Represent MBS externally with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Leadership Responsibilities
· Directly supervise the Director of County Board Services and the Director of Provider Services.
· Establish clear performance expectations, Key Performance Indicators, and accountability structures.
· Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performance culture.
· Identify staffing needs and participate in recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
· Provide regular operational updates, performance metrics, and recommendations to the Owner/CEO.
Compliance, Quality, and Financial Oversight
· Maintain a strong compliance framework aligned with Ohio Medicaid rules, waiver requirements, and federal regulations.
· Oversee internal audits, quality checks, and corrective action plans.
· Ensure policies and procedures are current, documented, and consistently followed.
· Collaborate with the CEO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
· Monitor revenue cycles, billing performance metrics, and operational costs.
· Identify opportunities for new service lines, partnerships, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, public administration, health administration, or a related field preferred.
· 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience.
· Demonstrated success managing teams and leading organizational growth.
· Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work and lead effectively in a remote environment.
· Experience with Medicaid billing, waiver services, compliance, healthcare administration, provider services, or related operational environments preferred.
