+ About the job:
This role supports new product builds by assembling first-piece and prototype wire harnesses with high precision and minimal supervision.
+ We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 2 years of recent hands-on experience in wire harness assembly
- Is highly skilled in soldering, crimping, stripping, and mechanical assembly
- Understands IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards
- Can read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and BOMs
- Is comfortable mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross-functionally
- Has strong time management and attention to detail
- Can lift up to 25 lbs and work in a hands-on production environment
+ What you’ll do:
- Assemble first-piece and prototype harnesses using technical drawings and work instructions
- Apply quality standards and inspect own work using visual aids and checklists
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by providing feedback on documentation and build process
- Identify design, documentation, or tooling issues and escalate as needed
- Set up workstations and verify part counts before builds
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and maintain organized, safe work areas
- Train and mentor newer assemblers on build quality and best practices
- Perform basic testing, such as pull tests, as needed
