The Káva House and Cafe in Swisher is seeking an experienced line cook for breakfast and lunch. We're looking for someone dependable, with a good work ethic, and a great attitude. We are a small crew and getting along well with others and working well on a team is a must.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Food prep, including cutting, portioning, and stocking ingredients
Operate flat-top grill and kitchen equipment
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Work efficiently during busy meal periods
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
Qualifications:
Kitchen experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
Ability to handle a breakfast or lunch rush
Dependable and punctual
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Familiarity with industry best practices
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
