We are hiring a Recon Coordinator on a fast track to Assistant Recon Manager. The seat is earned, not handed over. We will watch how you work: your habits, your follow through, how you manage your time, and whether you own a problem to closure instead of passing it down the line. The candidate who stops thinking task list and starts thinking whole pipeline is the one who earns the next seat. That seat owns recon throughput end to end, the vendor relationships, the recon spend, and the cadence between receiving, mechanical, and detail as we scale across two sites. The numbers that seat lives by are cycle time, acquisition to front line, and cost per unit.
What You Will Do
- Managing vendors and outside services, from parts to sublet to transport
- Tracking invoices and reconciling what every unit costs to recondition
- Keeping units moving between receiving, mechanical, and detail so nothing stalls
- Running the administrative side of recon, including scheduling, documentation, and follow up
What Your Day Looks Like
- Start the morning knowing where every unit stands. What is done, what is stuck, what is waiting
- Get on the phone with vendors, confirm ETAs, and chase down anything holding a unit back
- Log and reconcile invoices as work closes out, and flag the costs that run over
- Coordinate the handoffs between departments so a finished unit never waits on a phone call
- Keep the tracking current so the team and the owner always know the real status
- Move between Federal Way and Auburn as the work calls for it
What We Are Looking For
- Someone focused and goal oriented who keeps their eyes on the outcome and gets the job done
- Someone with the habits and follow through to earn the Assistant Recon Manager seat, who owns a problem to closure instead of passing it down
- Someone who starts seeing the whole pipeline, not just their task list, and cares about cycle time and cost per unit
- Someone who does not get held up by trivial matters, who solves the small thing and keeps the line moving
- Someone who adapts when the day changes and moves forward instead of waiting to be told
- Someone who looks for the better way to do it every week, because we are building a better operation as we grow
- Someone sharp and organized who keeps a lot of moving parts straight without dropping any
- Someone presentable and customer facing ready, because we operate in a luxury setting and presentation is part of the standard
- Someone comfortable with vendors, paperwork, and the digital tools that run the shop
- Automotive or dealership experience helps, but it is not required
Requirements
- Valid Washington State driver license with a clean and insurable record
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Able to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work across both sites
- Comfortable on your feet and moving through the shop throughout the day
