Job Overview:
The B.H.T./RADT is responsible for the complete care and well-being of the clients while they are receiving services at the facility. B.H.T. will maintain an open line of communication with staff, attending clinicians and physicians, and clients and families.
Responsibilities:
-Complete intakes during day, evening and weekend hours
-Provides an ongoing safe environment for staff and clients
-Provides a written daily report on rounds and daily census
-Provides supervision of self-administration medication program
-Transports clients to and from appointments, meetings, facilities, outings, and other pre-
authorized destinations when applicable (Utilizes company transportation)
-Instructs and confirms the facility’s rules and regulations to new admissions (Orientates clients)
-Performs bed checks at minimum every thirty minutes for the first 72 hours of resident’s
detoxification
-Familiar with community resources
-Seeks corrective criticism and has the ability to evaluate suggestions objectively
-Act as co-facilitator during group substance abuse sessions
-Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff
-Attends administrative meetings
-Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in work environment
-Assist with upkeep of facility
-Completes and forwards any Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues immediately to
Program Manager/Director of Clinical Operations
-Medication observation, counts, and documentation in KIPU
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. CPR/First Aid Certificate required. Must have a current TB Test and a valid state driver’s license. Must be registered with the state agency. Should be proficient in a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and hardware (copy, fax, computer, etc.). Must be registered with the DHCS.
Required Qualifications: RADT or SUDURC certification
Preferred Qualifications: Has a minimum of two years' experience in healthcare. Further licensed in related fields.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk intermittently. May be required to lift up to 25lbs. May be required to ascend/descend stairs.
