Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass DOJ/FBI background check and fingerprinting (Live Scan).
- Negative TB test and health screening required.
- Must have current First Aid certification (CPR preferred).
- Must be able to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with others.
- Must show compassion, patience, and a desire to work with elderly residents.
- Experience in caregiving, assisted living, or similar setting is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with transfers (depending on resident needs).
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring residents' safety at all times.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
- Engage residents in recreational and social activities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism
- Support clients with specialized care needs such as hospice care, senior care, and behavioral management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a caregiving role preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- CPR and First aid certification preferred
- Live scan will be scheduled prior to employment
- Knowledge of working with various medical equipment preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
