Educational and Experience Requirement
Associate’s degree in related field. Three years related experience in a related field. Certifications may be required. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs advanced specialist duties for the Financial Aid and Scholarships department and specializes in the Federal and State Work Study program.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs specialized duties related to financial aid compliance and student employment programs. Inspects and audits financial aid folders, academic transcripts, and award documentation for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Plans, implements, coordinates, and monitors the Federal and State College Work Study programs, including awarding work-study funds to eligible students. Compiles, tracks, reviews, and maintains program data, reports, and related documentation. Provides departmental and university information to students, staff, and departments regarding financial aid and College Work Study policies, procedures, and regulations. Assists in the development, interpretation, and application of policies and procedures. Coordinates appointments, activities, and off-site student employment opportunities in collaboration with the Center for Community Engagement and internal university departments. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes correspondence and training materials, and provides training to departments on College Work Study requirements. Participates in special projects as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned.
