Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the commercial property. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that all spaces are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained, contributing to a positive experience for clients. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitation of common areas and workspaces
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation tasks following proper safety protocols and handling procedures
- Conduct custodial tasks involving heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies or equipment with adherence to safe lifting practices
- Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, upkeep, and routine maintenance tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all cleaning activities, including chemical handling safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial setting
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety procedures
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in a safe manner
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance and basic repair skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Familiarity with safety protocol adherence in cleaning operations and general workplace safety standards
