Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing/Warehousing distribution
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the human resources function within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with plant leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, employee engagement, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational growth. The HR Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while fostering a positive, safe, and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for hourly and salaried employees.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and applicable California labor laws.
- Assist with benefits, leave programs, and HR policies.
- Develop and implement employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to identify training and development needs and coordinate employee learning programs.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare workforce metrics, reports, and analyses.
- Oversee investigations involving employee complaints, workplace issues, and policy violations.
- Support performance review processes, succession planning, and talent development.
- Collaborate with safety teams to promote a safe work environment and reduce workplace incidents.
- Manage HRIS data, payroll coordination, and employee documentation.
- Assist with organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Additional HR related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five or more years of progressive HR experience, including manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- HR certification preferred.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish Required
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or warehousing environment is strongly preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
