Responsibilities
- Perform hydrostatic testing on pressure vessels, piping, and related components following established procedures and safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to prepare test setups and verify measurements.
- Conduct non-destructive testing methods to assess material integrity without causing damage.
- Collect and analyze data during testing processes to ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards and other relevant regulations.
- Inspect components for defects using quality control techniques, including visual inspections and measurement tools like soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Document test results accurately, maintaining detailed records for quality assurance and traceability purposes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for proper test execution.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in surface mount technology (SMT) processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to pressure vessel testing.
- Expertise in quality control, quality assurance, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions effectively.
- Skilled in data collection, analysis skills, and reporting findings clearly.
- Experience with non-destructive testing methods to evaluate material integrity without damage.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and other measurement devices.
