Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial / Cleaning Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our Clients facility. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are sanitized, well-kept, and meet health and safety standards. Duties
- Perform routine janitorial and commercial cleaning duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Clean common areas, offices, breakrooms, and other assigned spaces
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas
- Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report maintenance concerns, damages, or supply needs to management
- Complete assigned work thoroughly and within established timeframes
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, extractors, and industrial vacuums
- Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques
- Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence and sanitation excellence
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled hours
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or facilities experience is preferred, but not required / required
