Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and creative play aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Manage classroom environments effectively by maintaining organization, safety protocols, and behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive space.
- Support children with special educational needs through tailored activities and early intervention techniques to ensure all children thrive.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing when appropriate to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives such as Montessori or other specialized educational approaches to enhance learning experiences.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques for early learners.
- Experience working with children in daycare settings or private schools, including preschool experience and toddler care.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment through behavior management skills.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention methods to support diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and empathetically.
- Knowledge of teaching physical education activities and integrating movement into daily routines.
